Lindi is a one year old girl. Both her parents are alive. They do not stay together, the father stays in Zimbabwe and he is not working. Lindi stays with her mother Lindiwe, who is not working and has 2 other children. The mother helps herself by sewing and selling goods to pay the rent for the house. She is collecting the child support grant for one child to buy some food. There are six of them in the family all together  living in a two roomed house. 

Lungelo is a two year old girl. Both her parents are alive. Dombi is the mother of the child is doing a temporary job to support the family. There are four of them in the family in a four roomed house.

Luvo is a one month year old boy. Both parents are alive. They do not stay together. None of Luvo's parents are working. Luvo stays with his mother Xoliswa, grandmother and eleven children. Grandfather is a pensioner, he is the one who supports them. Out of the eleven two children are receiving child support grants. There are fifteen of them living in a three roomed house. The grandmother Luvo's is very sick.

Mandisa is a one year old girl. Both parents are alive. None of Mandisa's are working. Linda is the mother of the child. Linda's sister is collecting a child support grant to support them. There are four of them in the family in the family living in a four roomed house.

Nelile is a five month year old girl. Both parents are alive and neither of them are working. Lungelo is the mother of the child, the grandmother is the one who is supporting the child. Nelile's mother is twenty two years old.
